Questions to ask yourself:

Why haul lead bags around?

Why buy a rest with a million moving parts, made of light gauge steel, no length adjustments and no windage instead a Titegroup Rest which that does it right?  Our rests are heavy but if you really want to stack bags of lead there are plenty of spots you can place them on our rest.

Why buy a rest with a recoiling system?

A rest with a recoiling system is only effective if it can be mounted stationary in a fixed position. It must have as few moving parts as possible, have enough mass, and tight tolerances. We designed and sold a rest 7 years ago that recoiled and based it on the basic design of US artillery pieces. The bottom line was that it could not hold the rifles solid enough for our liking- potential 1/2" or less groups at 100 yds.

Fact:

Titegroup Rests will hold your gun rock solid . Take any rest on the market and move all the joints...they move ...ours doesn't even with 6 adjustment points. They all lock rock solid!

Hi Shawn - Just wanted to let you know that my rest arrived today. Thanks! As a guide and outdoor writer down here, I come across lots of good equipment each year. I shoot custom rifles with Schmidt and Bender scopes, use Ultravid binocs, and Zeiss spotting scopes, etc.  Your rest  is a great product. Easy to use, positive adjustments, rugged, and well put together. Congrats on producing something worthwhile at a price anyone can afford. You don't see that very often.
Thanks again,
Jake ( Montana) Sept. 2006

Shawn

Twenty years in the service gave me lots of time shooting from rests, checking and adjusting sights, performing routine maintenance such as checking general wear and tear, barrel wear, checking spent casings for evidence of head spacing problems, etc.  Doing what ever requires a rest.
When I looked at the "Beast HG Plus(SDR-27)" on your web site I thought I was looking at something a cut above what I have used in the past.  The price made a purchase very attractive.  Being retired and in need of a good rest for my rather extensive collection of guns, the decision to buy was irresistible.  But was this rest as good as it looked?  After receiving it and using it on the range I learned it was not as good as it looked, It was better!
It is obvious that you thought long and worked long and hard to design and create this rest that incorporates about every conceivable idea for adjustment, function and ease for the shooter.
On the first day at the range I just couldn't contain an urge to clown around.  I planted my brand new, never fired, Kimber M-82 Government Target Rifle in the rest, adjusted the iron sight  and fired five rounds of twenty year old winchester .22 long rifle match ammo at 50 yards, without holding the rifle!  I simply squeezed the trigger and trigger guard between my thumb and finger.  I made no adjustments between shots.  I didn't check the target until I had fired all five rounds.  The group measured 0.98" spread!   All things considered I think you could say that, in all honesty, I didn't shoot that group.  The "Beast" did.  I just told it when to shoot!
I must admit I felt a little foolish for acting like a kid with a new toy but after thinking about it, I sure put the rest to the test and now I think this rest is the best!
Thank you for creating the "Beast (SDR-27)".

Respectfully, Gary  D., T/Sgt Retired, USAF (Oct 2006)

Sir,

Thank you for the gun rest.
Not only, did I receive a high
quality rest, but also a whole new dimension in bench shooting. I never
imagined, that A rifle could be held so still, or that any type of rest
would absorb so much recoil. Your rest allows me to concentrate on other
items, which sometimes are overlooked. Crosshair settings, scope
focusing, and the difference between poor and high quality scopes are
problems I had not noticed, before using your rest. The pain of shooting
hundreds of rounds in a session is over. Again, I am simply amazed at
what your rest has proved and done for me and my sons.

Adjusting Your Rest:

1. Loosen the 2 t-knobs on the rear of the main frame. Adjust the length so that the forestock stud is behind the forearm support or at least 2 inches ahead of the support.

2. Adjust the rear bolt with the plastic or rubber foot so that it fits comfortably at your shoulder while seated at your bench. Set it so that you are not crouched down but rather in a natural upright shooting position. RAISE THE FINE ADJUSTMENT UNTIL THE PLASTIC FOOT DOES NOT CONTACT THE BASE OT THE T-FRAME. This allows for about 1/4" of fine adjustment travel( about 3 ft at 100 yds)

3. Set your rifle on the  leather forearm rest, loosen t-knobs on this upright and lift the forearm holder until it fits under the zero on the target. Tighten these knobs.

4. Make sure the wing nuts are all tightened from the legs to the frame since this basically locks the rest solid.

5. Adding the rubber feet helps reduce recoil. We suggest that you keep the plastic foot on the rear and rubber feet on the front.

Customer suggestion:  Some shooters will drill a 1/2" divot (not through) in the rear cradle assembly at the spots where the knobs tighten, and cover the divot with nail polish. This prevents creeping with the heavy magnum rifles. We originally drilled the divots but customers preferred to drill their own. (Divots are included in SDR-40)

About US:

The Titegroup.com Rifle Rest is a rifle rest that  is designed to make your rifle shooting, sighting- in, or rifle displaying or cleaning a much more enjoyable experience. Our rifle rest is designed to reduce felt recoil significantly. The quality and price are  unparalleled.

Our rifle rests allow you to shoot from a rock solid position from a more natural posture with extreme accuracy.

We make two current models of gun rest,  the  "Titegroup SDR27" introduced in 2005 and the Titegroup SDR 40 introduced last year. We are very proud of the quality, design and reliability of this gun rests.

Each of our shooting rests are handmade and tested by many local, national and international hunter/shooters. We in return take this feedback and make continuous improvements. Accuracy, stability and economy are are main objectives.

We do not manufacture enough gun rests to sell them in stores. We don't have factory reps, distributors or dealers who each want a piece of the pie. We have a small shop and we micro manufacture a small number of rifle rests of each type and sell them at a price our customers  can afford. We like shooting and shooting accurately ! Some other rifle rests may sell for less but be aware of the quality! We allow you to get the MOST out of your rifle. We don't need to run down other’s products, we let our quality speak its volumes.
